The restaurant opens on winter season
Les Enfants Terribles-Megève tells the story of an avant-garde era in an aesthetic setting, with an emphasis on Art. Jean Cocteau's mural fresco in the Hôtel Mont-Blanc restaurant serves to shake up the traditional Megève restaurant feel. The layout of the room follows the codes inspired by Les Enfants Terribles concept and has been adapted to the setting, be it mountainous, urban or festive. In Megève, the décor is resolutely Art deco, in particular the gold inlay in the ceiling moulding.
This is a chic bistro with artistic style, where Cocteau's genius extends even to the table lamps. The unusual arrangement of an open-plan kitchen in the dining room ensures that the values of culinary art and the local products remain core. It represents a daring approach, but one which revives with link with traditional flavours. The emblematic menu, meanwhile, reinterprets some hearty recipes. At Les Enfants Terribles-Megève, you will be able to taste the inimitable steak au poivre, as enjoyed by Jean Cocteau himself, or the opulence of an oyster bar, perfect for those craving a taste of the sea, and try the famous Mont-Blanc cake or a large baba au rhum topped with Chantilly cream.
