The Hôtel Mont-Blanc in Megève, ideally located in the heart of the village, has been given a makeover with immaculate decor featuring furniture from the 1950s and 1960s. Blending time-honored Alpine tradition with modern renewal, the Sibuet Group welcomes guests to this historic property.
The name Megève inspires dreams; it evokes a unique way of life in the French Alps—a wonderful blend of authenticity, luxury, and well-being. Located in the heart of the village and its characteristic bustle, close to all amenities after a wonderful day of winter sports, it is in this idyllic setting that the Hôtel Mont-Blanc has been renovated and reborn. For this new interior design, where white has naturally taken center stage, the Sibuet family and François Dumas have masterfully combined the clean, distinctive lines of the 1950s and 1960s with the existing collection of antique wood furnishings. A wonderful blend of softness and elegance that perfectly resonates with the hotel’s name. Furniture by Guillerme et Chambron, vintage lamps with ’60s-style lines, and a beautiful collection of Vallauris ceramics are among the artisanal pieces selected for the lobby. Seating will be highly sought after at tea time—a tradition much loved by the village’s discerning clientele—as well as at the champagne bar, Le George, where guests can savor the finest vintages of Perrier-Jouët, Ruinart, and Taittinger. And to accompany these prestigious bottles, the oyster bar returns with a selection of oysters and seafood unique to Megève. This year, a menu of delicious appetizers straight from L’Épicerie des Fermes is available at all hours in the hotel’s lounges: smoked salmon hearts, house-made foie gras, and truffle-infused Brillat-Savarin are among the delicacies to savor.
Le Relais restaurant offers flavorful, chic, and modern cuisine in a setting inspired by the 1950s. It evokes fond memories of the gatherings of the “happy few,” where writers, artists, and celebrities meet in private… or not…
As for accommodations, the hotel features 38 luxurious, spacious, and cozy rooms and suites. The traditional décor of the Hautes-Savoie Alps plays a major role in making your stay unforgettable. Some rooms feature a balcony or terrace with breathtaking views of the village square and its famous bell tower. The icing on the cake of happiness and well-being: the Mont-Blanc boasts a Pure Altitude spa, which harnesses the protective and soothing benefits of mountain plants, flowers, and minerals.
