Seminar in the mountains

Offering employees a break dedicated to team building, in an authentic village where activities and relaxation are king, such is the experience promised by a seminar in the mountains. A team from Société Générale came to Megève last January to talk about their stay.

One word: magical!

When Yoann Couve de Murville, Sales Director at Société Générale, decided to organise a seminar for his teams of managers and advisors, Megève was an obvious choice. "I had come to Mont Blanc as a child, with my parents, so when I wanted to organise a seminar, I immediately thought of this hotel. I wanted them to discover Megève, an authentic village with a wide range of activities. Many of his employees did not know Megève, but some had never even been to the winter sports! We can only imagine the pleasure they had in discovering this territory, especially as the weather was very generous with the group: "We had magnificent conditions: it snowed several days before our arrival, and was very sunny throughout our stay! It was magical."

Activities and Discover Megève

After the two-hour walk, during which the group discovered the soul of the little village, its shopping streets, its church square, under a big blue sky, everyone took part in sporting activities. "The advantage of a place like Megève is that it can satisfy both skiing enthusiasts and others. There is something for everyone", continues Yoann Couve de Murville. The whole team was able to try sled dogs, "a very popular activity", a snowshoe hike "in a landscape that still seems virgin", and of course downhill skiing. "We were divided into several groups according to the level of each, and, accompanied by an instructor, we travelled through the superb ski area of Megève, in magical conditions!"

Mountain Gastronomy

After a good day of activities, there is nothing more comforting than a good dinner. To satisfy all the participants, the team sat down at the restaurant of the legendary Megève hotel. The atmosphere at Les Enfants Terribles was very pleasant," recalls the Sales Director. It was both festive and intimate, and we all have very good memories of it. It was a great moment to share! And that goes for the rotisserie as well as for the seafood counter! On the meeting side (because yes, you do have to work a bit between two activities!), the quality of the welcome made in Sibuet works wonders here too. The meeting room, which can accommodate more than fifteen people, is conducive to concentration and teamwork. Overhead projector, wifi, notebook and pen, all with a lovely view of the hotel's inner courtyard, covered in snow in winter! Between two meetings, the group could count on a large choice of pastries, cakes and fruit juices, to satisfy a small hunger at any time.

Under the Charm of the Hôtel Mont-Blanc

The hotel's rooms and suites, with their "haute couture" atmosphere, seduced the entire seminar team, who all praised "the services worthy of a very high-end hotel, but also very intimate," explains Yoann Couve de Murville. The Pure Altitude spa was also a great success, offering a nice moment of relaxation to everyone. All these little touches that make the elegance and authenticity of Megève in general, and the Mont-Blanc hotel in particular. "The aim of this seminar was to create cohesion between us. And after these four days, the team spirit was increased tenfold beyond my expectations! We would gladly do it again in Megève!"
