Ideally located on the Piazza del Campanile, right in the heart of Megève, the Hôtel Mont-Blanc offers an elegant setting that is both extravagant and intimate.

I’m enjoying my suite, with its exquisitelyarty decor, and feeling a sense of privilege. From the window, I watch the snow fall and cover the tin-plated copper scales of the bell tower and the large Christmas tree, beautifully decorated as it is every year.
I set out to stroll through the charming cobblestone streets of Megève, along the old bridge or through the small squares, losing myself among its elegant boutiques and trendy pop-up stores.

I head back, looking forward to curling up in a soft armchair in front of the large fireplace with a great book I just bought. Then I pop next door for lunch at Le Relais. Ina warm and relaxing atmosphere with weathered light wood, I enjoy a mountain-style croque and a dreamy crème brûlée.
I head to the Pure Altitude spa. An almost polar softness envelops me instantly, just like its walls lined with white fur. I choose the Beauté Glacée treatment, the Lift 4810 anti-aging treatment—a tribute to the summit of Mont Blanc—which combines a lifting facial massage with a body scrub and a body wrap… I completely unwind.
I’m happy to return to the hotel’s cozy lounges. It’s time to sample the house pastries for which the place is famous: a Mont Blanc with a grand cru hot chocolate for some, a coffee éclair, a lemon tartlet, and a signature tea for others.
I sip a vintage champagne—a 2009 Dom Ruinart—at the bar at Bar Les Enfants Terribles. The rooms, where art pieces and vintage finds are mixed together, are as lively as they are during the day. Outside, carriages continue to pass by and snowflakes continue to dance.
Tonight I decide to treat myself to the dish I’d had my eye on at lunch: beef cheek braised for 8 hours in Mondeuse d’Arbin wine, served with creamy polenta. Knowing that afterward I’ll be treated to a tour of Mont Blanc and its cheeses, followed by the irresistible dessert buffet.
