Treat your team to a break focused on team building in an authentic village where activities and relaxation go hand in hand: that’s the experience a mountain retreat promises. A team from Société Générale, which visited Megève last January, shares its story about the trip.

When Yoann Couve de Murville, Sales Director at Société Générale, decided to organize a seminar for his teams of managers and advisors, Megève was the obvious choice. “I used to visit Mont Blanc as a child with my parents, so when I wanted to organize a seminar, I immediately thought of this hotel. I wanted them to discover Megève, an authentic village with so many activities.” Many of his colleagues had never been to Megève, and some had never even been on a ski vacation! You can imagine how delightful the experience was for them, especially since the weather was so kind to the group: “We had magnificent conditions: it had snowed for several days before we arrived, and the sun shone throughout our entire stay! It was magical.”

After a two-hour walk during which the group discovered the heart of the small village, its shopping streets, and the church square under a vast blue sky, everyone took part in sports activities. “The advantage of a place like Megève is that it caters to both ski enthusiasts and everyone else. There’s something for everyone,” continues Yoann Couve de Murville. The entire team got to try dog sledding, “a very popular activity,” a snowshoe hike “in a landscape that still seems untouched,” and, of course, downhill skiing. “We split into several groups based on skill level and, accompanied by an instructor, explored the magnificent Megève ski area in magical conditions!”
After a wonderful day of activities, nothing is more comforting than a good dinner. To please all the participants, the team dined at the restaurant of the legendary hotel in Megève. “Everyone loved the atmosphere at Les Enfants Terribles,” recalls the Sales Director. “It was both festive and intimate, and we all have wonderful memories of it. It was a wonderful time spent together!” Whether at the rotisserie or the oyster bar! As for the meetings (because, yes, between activities, we also have to get some work done!), Sibuet-style hospitality works wonders here, too. The meeting room, which can accommodate more than fifteen people, fosters concentration and teamwork. A projector, Wi-Fi, notepads, and pens—all with a beautiful view of the hotel’s inner courtyard, which is covered in snow in winter! Between meetings, the group could enjoy a wide selection of pastries, sweets, and fruit juices to satisfy any hunger pangs.
The hotel’s rooms and suites, with their “haute couture” atmosphere, won over the entire seminar team, who praised “services worthy of the highest level of hospitality, yet also very intimate,” explains Yoann Couve de Murville. The Pure Altitude spa was also a hit, offering everyone a wonderful moment of relaxation. All these little details contribute to the elegance and authenticity of Megève in general, and the Hôtel Mont-Blanc in particular. “The goal of this seminar was to strengthen our team cohesion. And after these four days, our team spirit has grown beyond my expectations! We’d love to do it again in Megève!”
