Treat your team to a break focused on team building in an authentic village where activities and relaxation take center stage: that’s the experience a mountain retreat promises. A team from Société Générale, which visited Megève last January, shares their story about their stay.

When Yoann Couve de Murville, Commercial Director at Société Générale, decided to organize a seminar for his teams of executives and advisors, Megève was the obvious choice. “I used to come to Mont Blanc as a child with my parents, so when I wanted to organize a seminar, I immediately thought of this hotel. I wanted them to discover Megève, an authentic village with so many activities.” Many of his colleagues had never been to Megève, and some had never even been on a ski vacation! You can imagine the joy of discovery, especially since the weather was so kind to the group: “We had magnificent conditions: it had snowed several days before we arrived, and the sun shone throughout our stay. It was magical.”

After a two-hour stroll during which the group discovered the heart of the small village, its shopping streets, and the church square under a vast blue sky, everyone took part in sports activities. “The advantage of a place like Megève is that it satisfies both ski enthusiasts and everyone else. There’s something for everyone,” continues Yoann Couve de Murville. The whole team got to try dog sledding, “a very popular activity,” a snowshoe hike “through a landscape that still seems untouched,” and, of course, downhill skiing. “We split into several groups based on skill level and, accompanied by an instructor, explored Megève’s magnificent ski area in magical conditions.”
After a great day of activities, nothing is more comforting than a good dinner. To please all the participants, the team headed to the restaurant at the legendary hotel in Megève. “Everyone loved the atmosphere at Les Enfants Terribles,” recalls the Sales Director. “It was both festive and intimate, and we all have very fond memories of it. It was a wonderful shared experience!” Both the steakhouse and the seafood restaurant were a hit! As for the meetings (because, yes, between activities, there’s also a bit of work to be done), Sibuet-style hospitality works wonders. The meeting room, which can accommodate more than fifteen people, fosters concentration and teamwork. A projector, Wi-Fi, notepads, and pens—all with a beautiful view of the hotel’s inner courtyard, which is snow-covered in winter. Between meetings, the group could enjoy a wide selection of pastries, cakes, and juices to satisfy any craving.
The hotel’s rooms and suites, with their “haute couture” ambiance, won over the entire seminar team, who praised “services worthy of the very highest level of hospitality, yet also very intimate,” explains Yoann Couve de Murville. The Pure Altitude spa was also a hit, offering everyone a lovely moment of relaxation. All these little details contribute to the elegance and authenticity of Megève in general, and the Hôtel Mont-Blanc in particular. “The goal of this seminar was to strengthen our team cohesion. And after these four days, our team spirit has grown beyond my expectations! We’d love to do it again in Megève!”
